Haas&DAS Communications is a boutique public relations company geared to promoting brands in the construction, engineering and industrial sectors in South Africa.
Haas&DAS was founded by Jennifer Rees in 2014 when, as a managing editor overseeing three construction trade magazines, she detected a gap in the market for both high quality content for industrial brands and a nuanced understanding of what makes for effective trade-media liaison.
Having spent the better part of five years in her role as managing editor, Jennifer cultivated a thorough and well-rounded sense of how to best position her clients in the construction, engineering and industrial sectors to grow and enhance their media relations and access optimal brand exposure across print, digital and broadcast media platforms.
During her time as Main Konyn at Haas&DAS, Jennifer has delighted in growing her expertise along with her client base; she was selected for and successfully completed the Cape Innovation & Technology Initiative’s VeloCiTi Entrepreneurial Development Programme in 2015 and attained distinction for a digital marketing course with Red&Yellow in 2016. Jennifer also holds an MA in English Studies from the University of Stellenbosch.
Jennifer believes there is no secret to success, but that listening – proper listening – is the key to every winning project.
What talent, Jen! Your copy is spot on and amazing!

She provides excellent service, is always professional, comes up with creative strategies and produces great content and imagery for our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn networks. As a result, our social media following has grown exponentially over the two months we have been working with her, and it has taken a huge load off my mind knowing that this vital part of our business is in extremely capable hands.”
